The Bethel Free Health Clinic, Inc. |
Staff |
The staff members of the Bethel Free Health Clinic, Inc. bring our mission statement to life through their words and actions. All of our staff are volunteers, even our one full time and one part time staff volunteer more hours than they’re paid. |
Mike Mashburn |
Mike is our new “computer guy” working on bringing our electronic patient records system up to date. A former Peace Corps Volunteer, he is following a family tradition of volunteering to help make Biloxi a better community. |
Ruth Krause, RN |

You’ll usually find Ruth working in our dispensary. She returned to nursing, volunteering with us on her days off. Ruth volunteers at the Bethel Free Health Clinic as she “enjoys helping people - plus I know and love the people who work here!” |
Wally Alford, RN |

Wally is a nurse who volunteers performing intakes and works in the dispensary. She volunteers here “to give back to my neighbors.” |
Betty Wilson |

Mrs. Wilson is one of our volunteer receptionists. I volunteer at the Bethel Free Health Clinic, Inc. because it “was started in our church and I felt the need to continue helping a worthy cause.” |
Dorothy Fox |
Dorothy is one of our volunteer receptionists, who says she is “just trying to live to be 100.” “I volunteer here because I love the clinic, the patients and of course the Clinic Director.” |
Evelyn Reyer |
Evelyn was one of the first volunteers at the Clinic, working the registration desk. She has retired from the Bethel Volunteer Ministry (she was the Volunteer Coordinator) and is back to volunteering at the clinic! |
Alison Rollinson |
Alison is a masters prepared licensed social worker who volunteers with us weekly on her days off. Alison came to the Coast shortly after Katrina’s landfall, working in the Bethel Volunteer Ministry as a case worker. We are so thrilled to still have her helping Coast residents. |
Linda Justice |
Linda enjoys natures beauty by working in her garden. Linda is one of the clinic’s volunteer receptionists and performs data entry. She volunteers with us to “give back to the community.” |

Judith Jones, RN MN |
Judy is the Clinic Director, assuming the position in March 2006. She is a force of nature! She serves as a nurse, as the overall clinic manager, as a social worker (when needed), as a grant writer, etc. Most importantly Judy is the one who inspires us to be the Healing Place providing Christian compassionate service. |
Mary Marshall |
I believe that our purpose in life is to serve others – to be the hands and feet of Christ. The patients who come to the clinic need our help and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. It is such a pleasure to work with other volunteers who have the same purpose. |
Ed Schubert |
Ed is our jack of all trades and master of many! He is the registrar and the safety inspector. Retired from the US Navy, Ed has traveled all over the world. |
Joel Kavanagh, MD |
Dr. Kavanagh is an internist. He volunteers on Monday and Wednesday mornings. |
David Clippinger, MD |
Dr. Clippinger is not only a volunteer physician, treating patients, but he serves as our Medical Director. He retired six years ago after 49 years of practice. Dr. Dave volunteers here at the clinic to “Share my God-given talent with the uninsured and underinsured”. |
Edmund Crane, MD |
Dr. Crane is a retired internist. He is our clinic “Doc in the Box” and helps secured medications for our use from physicians in the local community. Dr. Ed volunteers with us “for the perks”. |
Donna Tasker |
Donna is our administrative assistant, performing organizational administrative duties and writing grants with Judy to secure the funds to keep the clinic operating. Donna volunteers here because “I’ve seen time and time again the difference this little clinic has made and continues to make in the lives of so many.” |
Marius Ladner |

Paula believes that the “coolest” part of her job here is watching God work. |
